San Diego Comic-Con is back, and while the crowds are packing downtown, we’ll be taking the adventure where it belongs—onto the water.
Join Paddle Boarding SD for one of our most anticipated events of the summer as superheroes, villains, pirates, wizards, space explorers, sci-fi legends, fantasy adventurers, and original creations take over Mission Bay for a sunset paddle unlike anything else in San Diego.

What We’re Doing
As the sun begins to set, we’ll launch from Ski Beach and paddle together across Mission Bay to Barefoot Bar for our annual Comic-Con Costume Contest.
Expect capes, lightsabers, treasure hunters, galactic smugglers, magical creatures, superheroes, villains, and some costumes nobody saw coming.
After the contest, we’ll paddle back across the bay as the city lights begin to glow before finishing the night with an unforgettable beach party.

6:00 PM – Arrive, park, gear up, costume photos
6:20 PM – Safety brief & route review
6:30 PM – Launch from Ski Beach
~7:15 PM – Arrive at Barefoot Bar
~7:30 PM – Costume Contest & Toast
~8:15 PM – Paddle back toward Ski Beach
~9:00 PM – Beach Party, Fire Spinning & Community Hangout

• No open flames on boards or docks
• Stay with the group and follow lead/sweep paddlers
