— WHO WE ARE

It stated with one open invitation. A handful of strangers showed up. By sunset, they were friends.

Paddle Boarding SD is a community of stand-up paddleboarders based in San Diego. What began as a casual group paddle has grown into a welcoming tribe that treats every outing as a chance to connect. Our mission is simple: paddle with purpose and build community every time we hit the water.

Everyone is welcome, from first-timers who have never stood on a board to seasoned paddlers looking for new friends to cruise with. College students, veterans, parents, retirees, lawyers, and doctors, all paddling side by side. This was never about one person. It is about what we can do together.

We launch from Ski Beach at the north end of Vacation Isle, right as the bay turns hold. Here is how the evening tends to go.

The best nights do a little good, too.

Our themed paddles have raised funds for causes we care about, from protecting the coast and the waves we love to granting wishes close to home. Doing good by having too much fun: very on brand for this city.
